Today at Maths time we made pede patterns. Each pede is made up of square parts and has a number of feet. We have put them on the back bench in our room. Come in and have a look.

WOW! WHAT A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!
The marquee was alight with fairy lights and spot lights. The atmosphere was alive with anticipation and excitement. Our Creepy Crawlie creations were amazing. We thank everyone for the fine effort put in.
Children we are proud of you all.
You took pride in sharing your work with family and friends, some of whom had travelled many kilometres to share the big night with us.
Congratulations! A first class effort all round.

Mr.Fox by Gavin Bishop.
We love reading and having a story read to us. Gavin Bishop writes and illustrates his stories. After we read Mr. Fox we used the new play dough to make the animals that were in the story. Thank you Janine and Jessica for making the play dough for us and adding the glitter to it.
An update on our worm inquiry...
We have made our own worm farm and placed it near the new vegetable gardens. Children from the enviro group were the experts and they helped us. Mrs. Snellex is an expert on how to make a vivarium for our tiger worms. Rooms 6 and 7 have made one. Please come in and take a look. We can tell you how we did this so that you may make one too.

Using the White Hat!
Friday, June 4, 2010
Another busy Friday!
We have all had a practice on the catwalk ready for the Wearable Arts event in two more weeks. Gemma & Brodie got to try using their creations. They have just a bit more to add so they will be ready for the big night.
Today some of the enviro group came to help us start the planting in the new raised vegetable beds. Our scarecrows looked on as we put in the young plants. Mrs. Robinson even got to plant a kumara!
