Visiting the Library.

We visited the Waimakariri Library. We found that we can use the Library web

site to help us with our Inquiry learning. The Librarians gave us a tour of the Library and we listened to a great story called Shark in the Park.

Now we are 9...

Today 15 children have moved to the Star Room to work with Mrs. Taylor. This is a new class for Year 1 children. We will miss them all. You are so lucky to have Mrs Taylor as your teacher. Remember we will still do lots of fun things together.

Moving on...

Today Celeste and Georgia moved to Room 7 to be Year One students. There are now 20 great learners in there. Enjoy the next part of your learning journey.

Swimming is fun!

More Friday fun!!!!

We started making rain sticks to make the sound of falling rain. We used pasta inside our cylinders to slip past the nails that we had hammered in through the cardboard. We are decorating them ready to use, and then we will share at assembly.

We love Friday!

Today we made money boxes to save our pocket money ready to buy Christmas presents in December. We used hot chocolate containers. This was Jaya and Anna's cool idea. Thank you for helping us again.

Vegetable Soup!

We made the most yummy soup today. We chopped and grated lots of different vegetable ingredients. Three great Mums helped us to cook an enormous pot of soup. We could smell it cooking. We tasted and then we ate it up!

We've been swimming again.

We are making good progress in the pool. Some of us can float and blow bubbles. Who can you see in the photos?

Basket ball skills.

We had ball skill activities today with the North Canterbury Sports Trust team. Fraser and Lisa showed us how to dribble the ball and how to bounce pass. We are really liking their visits every second Monday.During 'can do' time we will practice these skills.
