Yes we found out the shape is a pentagon.

Geometry
Today we started to look at the shapes we know. M-m-m-m!

A mailbox for letters to Santa.
Jamie-Lee made this mailbox for us to use. We will put in letters to Santa to ask nicely for a Christmas gift.

Touch Rugby.
Lots of us play touch rugby. Charlie and Sasha were both 'player of the day' for their teams this week. Well done.

We took our crayons for a walk. We will be working on techniques so that we become skilled at drawing. Keep watching this space to see more results.

Geocaching...
Geocaching is like a treasure hunt. We use a GPS which stands for global positioning system.It uses a compass which direction to go. We hold this one in our hand.
Keira thinks it is fun because her family go to lots of different places and parks.

We love Sport!
Today we worked on our ball skills with the North Canterbury Sports coaches.
They are very impressed with our listening and cooperative skills. We all feel very pleased with ourselves.We are improving all the time.
Soccer
The Ashley Hornets had their second game this week. Connor,Hannah and Sasha are in this team.
Wow... what a team they were!! They practised passing and hard kicks and the practise paid off. Everyone in the team kicked the ball and there were heaps of attempts at goal. Goals were scored by Connor and Riley and the score was a win to us. Ashley Hornets 9 - Ashgrove White 1.
Good job everyone.
