Friday Fairytales!

Last Friday we had lots of fun retelling the story of The 3 little pigs  using puppets and masks.  We used really great wolf and pig voices! We also explored the strength of different building materials - straw, sticks and bricks!

Today we read the story about Goldilocks and the 3 bears.  We used our black hats to think about why Goldilocks was wrong in the story and  also came up with lots of words to describe changes in size.  Well done Room 6!

Next week we look forward to reading the story about the Elves and the Shoemaker!  

Wonderful Wednesdays

Yes! We really like Wednesdays!
We go to gymnastics and then to the pool for a swimming lesson.
We will have 11 sessions over this term.
Can you spot the gymnasts and swimmers?

Come and see us in action we would love to have you join us.
We go to the Mega Mitre gym first and then to Dudley Pool.
We will be at the gym at 12.30 and the pool at 1.30.

Look who came to school with Isla today.
Yes, so cute. Their names are Barbie and Joe.
Their mother died so now Isla and her family are taking care of them.

Rooms 6 and 7

If you are free on  a Friday morning (9.00 to 10.30) a group of parents are meeting in Room 6 to work together on our costumes. 

We appreciate any help or ideas.

Items we require to add to our collection ...

• cardboard
• foam ( pieces at least 45cm in diameter)
• elastic ( 2cm wide )
• velcro dots
• cotton balls
• 2x ladybug costumes (we will return after the event)
• 3x spider costumes (may be still at your place after WOW)

Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...

Lesley visited today to talk to us about different types of metal that can be recycled. 

Ashley School is getting a container  for metal recycling.
In Room 6 we have already started our metal collection.
If you have scrap metal at home we would love to add it to our school bin.

These young men have come to join us from other schools.
We know you will enjoy being part of Ashley School.

We also farewell Eli who has gone to live in Australia.
