Friday is Discovery day.
We experiment, try new ideas, search for new information, enjoy creative activities, have lots of Language Experiences and most of all have FUN!On Friday we will work closely with Room 7 to experience these great times together.
Today we set up our Discovery zones.
Mmmm! A challenge with batteries.
Great for fine motor skill development.
Good for hand eye coordination skills.
Fun learning about magnetism.
We also used our white thinking hats to discuss what we knew about owls.
It took a lot of careful listening and planning to create our newspaper owls.
We have nine little owls in Room 6!
This term we will be learning about colours ready for our Painting topic.
We discovered that we can mix colours to create new colours.
We now know that water can go up!
For this experiment we have used food colouring.
It certainly didn't take long for the colours to mix.
So as you see Friday is very busy with lots of fun learning.
We are going to really enjoy working so well with Room 7 again.
