See what we have been up to...

We visit the gym every Thursday this term.

It was a real challenge to balance on the high beam.

At first Fynn found this a bit tricky. 

He persevered.

Today he received a REACH award for COURAGE.

Friday is DISCOVERY day.

We all love it and it is really busy.

Our topic is SPACE.

White hat thinking was used to come up with facts about the SUN.

Red and yellow paint was squeezed between sheets of glad wrap

to create our own sun. 

It felt nice and squishy when we moved the paint under the plastic.

We remembered that these are warm colours 

and when we mix them together we get orange!

This was added to our own facts about the sun.

We even took these to assembly to share with the whole school.

Lots of other fun things happened at Discovery.

The Three Little Pigs were out.

Oh! The Big Bad Wolf appeared too.

Wednesday collaboration with Room 7

Every Wednesday Rooms 6 & 7 get together for Music, Poetry and Printmaking.

Over the last two weeks we have read poems about snowmen.

Last week we used potatoes to print the bodies of our snowmen.

Today we added detail and mounted our work. 

Music was great fun too. We sang Obla dee Obla  da.

We are hard workers...

Every day we use the bead frames to look at numbers.

Here we are counting 29.

We can show this in many ways.

We like to work together for this activity.

We are always very focused at handwriting time. 

We take our time, we listen, and do our very best.

Millie introduced us to her new rabbit this morning.

The rabbit is a girl named Germunji.

We asked questions and had a chance to pat the rabbit.

This rabbit loves to be on her back! So cute!

Our second visit to Dudley Pool was great.

Our tutors are amazing and we feel safe in the pool.

Hunter has arrived.

He is joining our class from the North Island.

Back to school for Term 3.

A fun filled and busy term is ahead.

Cooper and Jack join us on day one.

We are off to the Dudley Pool for swimming lessons on the first day back.

On Wednesday we have our first hockey skills session here at school.

Then on Thursday we go to the gym for trampolining and gymnastics.

Plus lots of learning about SPACE and MEASUREMENT on Fridays with Room 7.

Our collaboration continues every Wednesday

 when we get together for POETRY, MUSIC and PRINTMAKING.

Mmmmmmm! Yes! Busy,busy,busy.

We sang, danced, and stomped on the stage tonight.

Everyone clapped and clapped.

Waiting and waiting to begin.

So excited and ready to perform.
