Problem Solving and Cooperation!

Today we made letterboxes for our classroom using duplo. We worked really well in our groups to make them.

We have made self portraits.

They are so good that they have been put into a frame.

We are learning new words. We can work by ourselves.

Fantastic Friday.

Today everyone helped to bake a cake. Our cake wasn't too hot, it wasn't too cold, it wasn't too sour - it was big, it was round and it was delicious!

Our Rocket is finished.

Our rocket is ready for blast off!

We took it to assembly to share with the rest of the school.

It is awesome and we are very pleased with it.

It is on display in our room so please come in and take a close look.

Everyone added to this construction and we enjoyed using our sponge painting techniques to finish off the nose cone.

Check the astronauts too. They have helped us to learn to count back from 10.

Now we are ready to count back from 20.

Painting.

We are learning about primary and secondary colours.

We are also trying a variety of painting techniques.

We have used sponges, fat paintbrushes and thin brushes.

Our paintings needed a background first. Next we added the people and the wooden gate.

The Rocket

We have taken our car apart and we are now transforming it into a rocket! We are working through the process and thinking how to add the right parts. We have visited the library and have taken out a selection of books to help us with our design.
