Challenges...

We have been using the Maths Duplo to build a variety of things.

Bridges, planes and trains.

We discussed all types of vehicles today.

Next we had to decide which vehicle we would make.

A train or a plane.

Once it was built we added people and a number tile to match how many!

This afternoon we played Who am eye?

Can you guess who we are?

We have been talking about friends and how we behave with each other.

Look at what we think a good classmate is!

Adjectives!

Awesome adjectives to describe ourselves...

We thought hard about the words that best describe us.

Our friends helped and suggested what was the best fit.

Fun Fridays are back...

Friday is Discovery day. 

We experiment, try new ideas, search for new information, enjoy creative activities, have lots of Language Experiences and most of all have FUN!

On Friday we will work closely with Room 7 to experience these great times together.

Today we set up our Discovery zones.

Mmmm! A challenge with batteries.

Great for fine motor skill development.

Good for hand eye coordination skills.

Fun learning about magnetism.

We also used our white thinking hats to discuss what we knew about owls.

It took a lot of careful listening and planning to create our newspaper owls.

We have nine little owls in Room 6!

This term we will be learning about colours ready for our Painting topic.

We discovered that we can mix colours to create new colours. 

We now know that water can go up!

For this experiment we have used food colouring.

It certainly didn't take long for the colours to mix.

So as you see Friday is very busy with lots of fun learning.

We are going to really enjoy working so well with Room 7 again.

We are back at school! Hooray!

Whew!

 A busy day today.

 SO many rules to learn!

We have had lots of fun meeting our friends.

We made promises to each other.

We found fun maths games.

We chatted about our holidays

 and what we will be doing at school.

We used the bead frames for counting and adding one more.

A Happy New Year...

We are getting closer to starting the new school year.

Some school bags may be packed already!
