Learning the language of Maths.

Today we talked about graphs. We made a bar graph.

We were surprised that most people chose water as their favourite drink.

Will they grow?

Today we read the fairytale Jack and Beanstalk.    

We planted some bean seeds and will watch closely over the next few weeks  to see how they change and  grow.  

We have to remember to give them water !

Milly the lamb visits...

We met Milly today. She is a Wiltshire lamb. 
She is a triplet and one day she will have lambs herself.
We fed her milk and it made her tail really wriggle!
Thankyou Yvonne (George's mum) for bringing her to school. 

Now we are 16 ...

A warm welcome to Lewis. So now we have 16 great students in our room.

The Ugly Duckling

We read the story called "The Ugly Duckling" for language experience today. 

We investigated other animals that hatch out of eggs.  These are some of the animals we found.

The Little Red Hen

On Friday we enjoyed reading the story of the little red hen.  In Room 6 we know that it is important to help each other so when we made scones after reading the story we all helped! Everyone had an important job and everyone got to share the scones at the end.  We thought they tasted delicious! 

Marvellous Maths...

How many rods will it weigh?

That was our question today.

We worked with a buddy to use the bucket balances.

We experimented with classroom objects to see if we could make them balance with rods.

It was great fun today. We cooperated with each other and we will practice more over the next two weeks.
