Fantastic Friday

 Thank you Amanda for spending time with us this morning at Discovery time.  The helicopters were a real hit! We especially loved flying them off the playground!

Dress-ups are one of our favourite choices.  

Beware of the dinosaur!

We enjoyed reading the story  "The King's Pudding"  and had great fun baking a chocolate cake. We had to follow a recipe carefully. We all helped to measure and mix the ingredients. 

Our cake was round.

  It was brown. 

 It smelled delicious.

It wasn't too hot, too cold or too sour!

It was just right!

And it tasted wonderful!

Welcome to Lachlan...

A warm welcome to Lachlan who starts in Room 6 on Monday.

We look forward to happy school days ahead.

Shape Monsters..

We are talking about all the shapes that we know. 

Lexi knew about hexagons. 

The whole class went out to check the stop sign shape.

This afternoon we created SHAPE MONSTERS.

Easter greetings everyone!

Today we went on an Easter Treasure Hunt.

There were seven clues altogether.

We read them carefully and followed all the instructions.

Our treasure was delicious.

We hope you enjoy the Easter break and have fun with your family.

Learning about warm colours...

We have used a sponge technique, onto paper plates, to create warm sunshine!

The crescent shaped mouths and suns rays were attached using hot glue guns.

Our use of scissors is improving so much too.

We know a lot now about colours that are warm and how to mix to create different shades.

 When we work carefully we get a really good result. We like to take care.

Happy Easter

Today at Discovery time we made Easter egg biscuits with Riley's Mum Casey. 

They looked fantastic and very colourful.

They tasted yummy!

 We all thought they were delicious!
