Asking good questions.

We have started to learn how to ask a really good question.
Tonight we will ask a where question at home to find out something new.
Look at the photos to see our first question.

Before the holidays we decided to ask a 'bug expert' a question about our tree moth. So we wrote to ... Hi there Ruud,

We have attached 2 photos of what we think is a Gum Tree moth.

Please can you tell us what to do with this to make sure we see a moth emerge!

We have been told it may not appear until Spring and that we must spray with water each week.

It was found here in Ashley which is 5km north of Rangiora.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.

We have a reply...Actually someone asked Ruud this just the other day and you're doing exactly the right thing already. Keep the cocoon on its twig somewhere cool outside (such as under the house) and mist it with water once a week. In spring a brown moth with eye spots should emerge. Best of luck!
