Gymnastics and swimming.

Each Tuesday this term we go to the swimming pool and gymnastics. This week we used the uneven bars and the beam.

The experiences the children are getting are amazing. We would love to see you on a Tuesday afternoon to watch us in action. We arrive at the gym at 12.30 and then go to the pool for swimming lessons at 1.30.

The New Zealand Army Band...

Today the whole school travelled by bus, to Christchurch, to see the Army Band perform at the CBS arena. The music was fantastic. The performers kept us entertained for over an hour.
The theme was "Going Wild."
Lots of other schools were there and the atmosphere was electric.

Thank you Ms Hurford for arranging this for us.

The Third Day at Home...

Wow! Snow, snow, snow!

Now we need to watch out for poor road conditions.
I know you love being at home with your children and can happily occupy the time. However there at times when the thinking hat needs to be put on.
Check out the side of this blog for other ideas and educational activities. The school website also has links to great sites.

Keep warm and safe.

Another day at home!

Yes it is fun in the snow but when you are ready to come inside and get warm try baking cookies.
Baking with children is like weaving magic in the kitchen. The sights and smells last a lifetime.
Not only the children enjoy cookies but the grown ups too.
Have fun today.

Chalk drawings look good after the rain!

We used a whole bucket of chalk this morning during outside time at developmental!
They always look better when the ground is damp.

Can you guess who came to school today?

Take a look! We all got such a surprise.

Thank you Ronald McDonald for reminding us about the road safety rules.
