Matthew starts on Monday...

Welcome to Matthew who starts school on Monday.

Jenny and Leanne are two new teachers who will also start work in our room. We will see them every morning. A big welcome to you all!

                 

Over the next two weeks we will have lots of new children in Room 6 for their pre entry visits.

We wish them all a happy transition to school.

Seven moving to Room 7...

Sophie, Ciara, Alexus, Maddy, Riley, Rocco and Lewis are off to join the students in Room 7.

We know that Mrs. Farrant will love these guys. 

We will miss you all.

Our Amazing Cats!

Today we finished our Laurel Burch inspired cat artworks. 

We think ours look terrific. We used warm and cool colours to dye our pictures.  We really like how the colours have merged together. Please come into our classroom and have a look.

Can you think of any words that rhyme with cat?  

Next week we will add some to our display!

Poetry finals...

Well done to Sophie who came second in our Year 1 poetry competition.

Your delivery was excellent.

I am so proud of all Room 6 children 
who gave their very best effort.

Today we had rain!

No school today and so much rain!

Hopefully we are back tomorrow as we are excited about the Poetry competition.

Fantastic Friday

Whaia Krystal works with us every Friday helping us to  learn te reo Maori.   We love singing and dancing with her.

We have been learning our personal mihi. These are a greeting that tells people who we are - our names, our school, the place where we live, our mountain and our river using Maori sentences. 

We are getting really good! Ka pai!

Today we also farewelled Joshua from our classroom.  Good luck at your new school, we will miss you!
