Last day of term 3 fun.

It was lovely to have senior girls to help with our creative Discovery ideas.

Their idea of dinosaur and fairy eggs was just right for us to make.

Claire came today with all the ingredients to make delicious sushi.
Kim and Anna helped her and we all just ate and ate and ate!
So very popular with everyone.

We have had a productive term printmaking.
Lots of different tools have been experimented with.
Today the corks, cotton buds and potatoes were out again.

Two creative brothers!

Two creative friends!

Have a lovely break with your children.
This term has been so very busy with swimming, gym, hockey
and all the other learning activities.
Next term sees us start with 5 new children.
We have grown.
Happy holiday everyone.

Jolly Hockey Sticks..

The Junior school split up into 8 hockey teams
to play together in a Hockey Festival.

We had a marvellous time.
We really got our sticks moving.

Sarah was an excellent goalie.

Joe had older boys trying hard to get a goal in!
Good work Joe.

We look forward to using the donated hockey gear at lunchtimes.

Maisie and Fynn were two lucky children who won a T-shirt today.

A colourful day...

We came to school wearing loud shirts
to support children with hearing impairment.
We donated a gold coin to support this worthy cause.
Delicious cupcakes made by our school council were on sale too.

It was agreed that these were scrumptious.

Our hockey session was great fun and we practised lots of new skills.

Check out our colourful clothes.
Nellie wore her sparkly shoes too.

During DISCOVERY time we painted with cotton buds.
Our spring trees looked lovely with the blossom.

Some of us made puppets to play with.

Room 6 had a great smell going on.
Anna came again this week and helped us make pikelets.
Of course we carefully measured our ingredients.

We knew it was time to flip the pikelets  over when the bubbles popped.
The taste was superb.
Mmmm! Delicious.

As you can see we have a variety of marvellous
 learning opportunities going on.

More measurement, learning to skip, music and getting creative.

We rotated around lots of measuring stations.
Working with a buddy helped us take risks and collaborate
to experiment with objects to weigh.

It was a really warm and sunny day today.
The stilts came out along with the skipping ropes.
Mr.Mullan came out of his office to help us learn to skip.

Naomi came with her guitar.
The instrument box was out and we made good music together.

Once again Sarah was creative.

These cute owls were fun to put together.

Check out these REACH certificate recipients.
Very proud children.

Yes! Another fun filled Friday.

Measuring Pet Rocks.

Many measuring tools came out today.
Once we had made a pet rock
we needed to weigh them on the scales and measure width and height.

These were recorded before we set about making a home for our pets,
We made boxes and put in fabric to snuggle our pets into.

Sarah enjoyed making masks too.
She really is creative.

Another fun and busy day.

The Story Teller...

Ze Bong the story teller came today.
He gives the children and teachers opportunities to act with him.

What fun we all had. We laughed so much.
Miss Mutch was the Queen, Mr Lynskey was a troll,
and Mrs Standen was a witch.

Maisie was a robber. She stole from two silly sisters!
It was a great chance to act.

We all listened well and responded the way an audience should.
